Akın Ekici, born in 1967 in Kayseri, a city in central Anatolia, is a Turkish artist who has been painting since his primary school years. Although he chose to study law during his university years and became a successful lawyer, he continued to paint in his free time under the guidance of professors from the Istanbul Academy of Arts.

Ekici works in an abstract style, using a palette knife to apply thick, multi-layered, and polychromatic colors to the canvas. His works reflect movement and dynamism, often represented through repetitive spiral compositions, with fractals being a key element in his creations.

Over the years, Akın Ekici has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad. One of his most notable achievements is becoming the first Turkish painter to have his work accepted into the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Modern Art in Mongolia, where the works of world-renowned artists are also exhibited. Many of his pieces are part of prestigious international private collections.

Currently, Akın Ekici continues to work in his studio in Istanbul and regularly exhibits his works in international exhibitions alongside renowned artists, as well as in solo exhibitions.
